Officials with the Wyoming Game and Fish Sheridan Region Office have been receiving reports of dead trout in local streams and rivers. Game and Fish Information Specialist Warren Mischke says that the hot and dry summer is taking its toll on fish in the area.

The second annual Big Horn Tire Show and Shine Car Show And Parade will be today in Buffalo.

This year's Sheridan County Fair drew a bigger crowd than it has in years past. Though the numbers have not been meticulously analyzed, Melissa Sterling, director of the Fair Board, was impressed with this year's turnout.

Sheridan's police officers are spending extra time on the streets emphasizing traffic law enforcement this month. Thanks to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Traffic Enforcement Grant, police have enough state funds to conduct an extra 100 hours of patrolling with an emphasis on motorcycle safety.
