A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit from environmental groups that sought to block federal coal leases in Wyoming's Powder River Basin on the grounds that burning the coal would contribute to global warming.

Firefighters are on the scene of a wildfire burning about 11 miles northeast of Hyattville in the Bighorn National Forest. According to a media release from the Bighorn National Forest, the Black Butte Fire was reported late last night and has burned about 11 acres.
