The Rosebud Complex in southeastern Montana continues to grow rapidly, as the six fires that make up the complex are now estimated at over 131,000 acres with 0 percent containment. The six different fires are located anywhere from four to thirty miles south of Rosebud, Montana.

The fires burning in southeastern Montana, now known as the Sarpy Hills Complex, burned a mobile home on the Crow Indian reservation just after midnight this morning.
The town of Lame Deer, MT and the area north on Highway 39 to the reservation border is being evacuated due to approaching wildfires. Tribal and Bureau of Indian Affairs public safety personnel are assisting. Highway 39 is closed between Lame Deer and Colstrip due to fire activity.

The Sheridan Senior Center will be hosting a community presentation this month entitled “Ending Elder Abuse”. The presentation will be given by Paul Greenwood, who's been the head of the Elder Abuse Prosecution Unit since 1996.
