The Sheridan Police Department is now taking applications for their 4th annual Citizen's Academy. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.

The last time Congress passed legislation to raise the minimum wage was in 2007, during the George W. Bush administration when it was $5.15 an hour. The law eventually bumped the wage up to its current $7.25 level in 2009.

U.S. Senator Mike Enzi spent some time in Sheridan over the weekend, which included a stop at Sheridan Media for a quick interview. The Senator says that his main focus right now is working on
budgetary issues.

The Wyoming State Convention for the Jaycees was held in Sheridan this past weekend. The Jaycees are a leadership training and community service organization for young adults ages 18-41.

It was the first of its kind held Saturday at Sheridan College in the Whitney Presentation Hall. The Wellness Council of Sheridan County held a day-long Wellness Festival with activities and information on the eight dimensions of wellness.

For the most part air service just isn't what it used to be, especially when you're talking about comfort, customer service or the added expense of luggage. How does Sheridan's air service rate?

It was the first “Behind the Scenes Saturday” for the new year at the Sheridan County Museum. It's a time when the museum opens its doors for people to come out and see what goes on in the museum when the galleries are closed.

This year's Buffalo Chamber of Commerce Winter Gathering happened Saturday night, and those attending were treated to a James Bond-themed evening entitled “007: Casino Royale,” with gambling, a five-course meal, wine-pairing and giveaways at the black-tie event.

The Buffalo Rabies Clinic was put on this past Saturday and turnout was steady throughout the day and better than expected, according to Buffalo Animal Control Officer Karen Kimutis.
