Flood Advisory Issued for Northwest Sheridan County

The National Weather Service in Billings has issued a a flood advisory for northwestern Sheridan County and parts of north central Wyoming.

The Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority Joint Powers Board met for their monthly meeting Tuesday. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has the report.

Economic, Education Board Discusses Draft Study

In 2012, the Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Joint Powers Board hired consultants to develop a Career Technical Education and Training study that would build off of the Wadley Donovan Report from 2007.

During the last day of 31st Annual Lake DeSmet Fishing Derby--yesterday-- the Buffalo Lion's Club Pavilion was packed to the brim with people hoping to win everything from fishing poles to the grand prize—a side by side vehicle.

City Works Discusses Projects, Water Salesman, Schedules

Buffalo's City Works Director Les Hook gave his final report for May at the last city council meeting, discussing the status of various projects, reporting a problem with the city's water salesman, and requesting a schedule change for his crews.

Johnson County Commissioners Award Scholarships

The Johnson County Commissioner's Scholarships were awarded by the commissioners at their meeting May 20th.

Awarded from Buffalo High School were Teara Gass and Joshua Jackson.
The alternate was Hannah Chapin.

From Kaycee High School, Lakyn White was awarded the scholarship and Sean Waybrandt was named the alternate.
