Buffalo Lions Club Announces Fishing Derby Winners

The 33rd Annual Buffalo Lions Club Lake DeSmet Fishing Derby, which wrapped up on Memorial Day Monday, was a success again this year, according to Lions Club President Adam Teeten, who said everyone participating seemed to have fun with no major problems reported during the derby.

New Charges Filed Against Former Newspaper Reporter

New charges have been filed against Michael Johnson, a former employee of a Buffalo newspaper, stemming from an investigation that uncovered new evidence against him which resulted in the filing of additional charges and the scheduling of a preliminary hearing next week.

Sheridan Police Department Having Issues with Calls

The Sheridan Police Department is currently having issues with incoming telephone calls. This should not affect the answering and response to emergency calls. For now, no calls made to the Sheridan PD administrative number, 672-2413 will be received.

Winner of Prime Rate Motors Car at Project Graduation

Alyssa Magestro received a pretty sweet graduation present thanks to Prime Rate Motors of Sheridan. During the Project Graduation party for Sheridan High School, Magestro was the lucky student to win the 2004 Ford Taurus that Prime Rate donated for the event.
