CHAPS Equine Assisted Therapy is looking to strengthen their organization by adding new volunteer board members. CHAPS is a non-profit committed to improving the lives of individuals with mental emotional and physical challenges.

For six and a half decades the Sheridan Jeans and Queens Square Dance Club has hosted their Cowtown Hoedown. This weekend dancers from multiple states will gather for this year’s event. Jeans and Queens Secretary Jolene Burr.

Governor Mead Activates Personnel for Flood Response

Governor Matt Mead has activated the Wyoming National Guard and has asked the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security to assist with flood prevention efforts in Carbon and Fremont Counties. Rising temperatures are expected to contribute to flood risk over the next few weeks.

County Valuations Up, State Down From Last Year

The good news for Sheridan County, according to County Assessor Paul Fall, is that local property assessments are up more than 3 percent over values last year.
