Art Show Under Way at Sagebrush

The second annual juried photography show is under way at the Sagebrush Art Center, with a reception set for Thursday starting at 5 p.m.

Several Active Fires in Montana and Colorado

Although the Browning Fire in Wyoming’s Crook County is almost fully contained, there are still several active fires in the surrounding areas. Currently in Montana, there is a natural caused fire that has burned 2,142 acres in Rosebud County.

Fire Restrictions in Sheridan County

With the hot, dry conditions that have befallen much of Wyoming, Sheridan County has put in place fire restrictions. These restrictions are in place so that fires can be prevented according to Goose Valley Fire Chief Bob Williams.

Wyoming Secretary of State Ed Murray has announced the launch of new electronic business filing services that are a first of their kind at the Secretary of State’s Office. The new online services will allow for the electronic filing of documents that were previously only paper based.

Beatty Spur Fire Burns Over 300 Acres

As Sheridan Media previously reported, crews with Goose Valley Fire Department, Sheridan Fire Rescue, and Ranchester Fire responded to a grass fire late Friday afternoon approximately 12 miles north of Sheridan off of Beatty Spur Road.
