Big Horn Called to Fire Off 335

Two units from the Big Horn Volunteer Fire Department were called to fight a fire started when a bird was electrocuted and fell, burning, to the ground Saturday night.

Actor and visual artist Dr. Gordon Goodman talked about a variety of topics from REM sleep to the evolution of acting in a workshop Saturday morning at the Fulmer Public Library in Sheridan.

Progress Made on Arden Fire

The Arden Fire which is burning just over the mountain 35 miles east of Greybull, is now at 35% containment. The fire crews have kept the fire from threatening any structures. They have also held the fire to 523 acres.

Fire East of Tensleep Closes U.S. 16

A fire about 10 miles east of Tensleep has closed a portion of U.S. Highway 16. The closed portion begins West of Buffalo and ends in Tensleep. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

Eagles #186 Donates Funds to Senior Center Meals Program

The Sheridan Senior Center’s home delivered meals program received a donation in the amount of $750 from the Sheridan Eagles #186. President Joe Marshall said it’s always good to give to such an important program that serves so many within the community.

Playwright Discusses ‘Alice Formerly of Wonderland’

Playwright Mark Saltzman’s new play, Alice Formerly of Wonderland, recently debuted at the Wyoming Theater Festival that is currently taking place in Sheridan. Saltzman shared an interesting fact about the character “Alice”.
