Goose Valley Called to Grass Fire

UPDATE - A grass fire on the south branch of Dry Creek burned 25 acres of state land Wednesday night, according to Bob Williams, chief of the Goose Valley Fire Department.

The Antelope Butte Foundation recently announced their selection of Sandy Scott Suzor as the newest board member. Suzor is the owner of Powder Horn Realty in Sheridan but she's also an avid skier and adventure enthusiast who grew up skiing at Antelope Butte.

Governor Mead Announces State Fire Marshal Retirement

State Fire Marshal Lanny Applegate has been in his position since 2006 but he has now retired. Governor Mead appointed Michael Reed to replace Applegate beginning July 1. Mead claims that he chose Reed due to his extensive experience in law enforcement, administration, and emergency response.
