Candidates Introduce Themselves at Eagles' Meet-and-Greet

Candidates for state, county and Sheridan city offices had a chance to talk about themselves and why they're running for office during a meet-and-greet Wednesday night at the Eagles Aerie on Main Street in Sheridan.

yatt Ankney was the champion senior cat showman, and Josaphine Ankney and Lainey Konetzki showed the champion shorthair and champion longhair cats during the cat show Wednesday at the Sheridan County Fair.

After an electrical fire wiped out the office area and smoke ruined all of the products for sale, the Tongue River Marina has been temporarily closed. The Bastroms, who are the concessionaires at the marina, shared more about the fire.

Candidate Forums Set for Next Week

The Government Affairs Committee of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce will host two candidate forums next week. The forum for U.S. and state candidates will be held Tuesday night and Wednesday's forum will feature candidates for local municipalities and county positions.

Year’s First Wyoming West Nile Virus Case Reported

The Wyoming Department of Health has confirmed that Wyoming’s first reported West Nile virus case of the year involves an adult woman from Goshen County. Mosquitos spread the virus when they feed on infected birds and then bite people, animals or other birds.
