$150,000 Bond Set for Sheridan Man Charged With Second Degree Murder

Sheridan County Circuit Court Judge Shelley Cundiff set a $150,000 cash bond Monday for 41-year-old Sheridan resident Christopher Fisher, who’s charged with Second Degree Murder for allegedly killing his wife, 40-year-old Martha Bailey at their home on East Burkitt Street Friday night in Sheridan.

4th Annual Best of the West BBQ Fest Starts Cooking Saturday

On Saturday, the 4th Annual Best of the West BBQ Fest will take place in Sheridan’s Whitney Plaza parking lot. This KCBS sanctioned BBQ competition will host entries from all over the region competing for cash and prizes in four BBQ categories.

August Chamber Luncheon Scheduled for Wednesday

The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly luncheon at 11:30 on Wednesday at Sheridan’s Holiday Inn. Dixie Johnson, CEO of the Chamber, said the program will be geared towards graduation rates.

A crash 19 miles north of Sheridan on Interstate 90 has resulted in the death of 67-year-old Rathdrum, Idaho resident Marvin Updike.

Sheridan FFA Advisor Excited For Future

Last fall, Sheridan High School gained a new Agriculture teacher and FFA advisor. Raised in Wright, Wyoming, Clay Christensen graduated with his degree from the university of Wyoming in 2013. He worked in Colorado for the years immediately following his graduation, before transitioning to Sheridan.

Showing in the Storm

Champion showmen from the week at Sheridan County Fair gathered for the Round Robin contest to put a variety of showing techniques to the test Sunday evening. Winning exhibitors from each of the five species in the contest competed against each other to earn the grand champion showman title.
