Halloween Activities in Full Swing

There's a bunch of Halloween happenings in Sheridan for the next few days.

Square Dance Lessons Start Halloween

Sheridan’s Jeans and Queens Square Dance Club will start providing lessons on Tuesday, Halloween night. Once comfortable, beginners can start attending the club dances every other Saturday.

UW Awarded $10 Million COBRE Grant

The University of Wyoming Sensory Biology Center recently was awarded a five year, $10 million grant from the National Institutes of Health.

SCSD3 Student Part of Student Advisory Council

Sheridan County School District 3 student Kristin Klaahsen(claw-sen), is one of 18 Wyoming high school students that earned the honor to be on the State’s Student Advisory Council.

Chamber to Host Legislative Forum in November

In anticipation of the Wyoming Legislature’s budget session that begins in February, the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs Committee will host its annual Legislative Forum, Monday, November 20.

Pheasants to be Released in Other Walk-In Areas

Pheasants that would normally be released in Sheridan County's Walk-In Area 3 will be released in other walk-in areas this year, and the locations of those releases will be posted on the Wyoming Game and Fish website.

Successes of three Sheridan companies will be showcased in a day-long presentation next week in Sheridan Memorial Hospital's community room on Gould Street.

Board of Health Meets New Dentist

At their recent meeting the Johnson County Board of Health was introduced to the new dentist at Cotant Family Dentistry by board member Dr. Brian Cotant, and were given updates on dental matters locally and at the state level.
