AARP Wants Medicare to Stay the Same

There are problems with Medicare, but overall, AARP wants Medicare to remain the same, and the organization for senior citizens sees dangers in House Speaker Paul Ryan's proposed Premium Support model for the health coverage.

Cram Says Roadless Collaborative is Comprehensive Group

The 18-member Bighorn Forest Roadless Collaborative that meets Wednesday includes most, if not all, of the major groups that use or are involved with the national forest, according to Sheridan County Commissioner Terry Cram.

Gun Bills Head to Governor for Approval

Two 2017 Wyoming Legislative bills regarding firearms have passed both the House of Representatives and the Senate and will now move on to the Governor’s Office.

Ducks Unlimited Banquet Set for Saturday

The Sheridan Ducks Unlimited organization will host their annual banquet fundraiser on Saturday night at the Best Western Sheridan Center. According to Tyler Emme, Chairman of Sheridan’s Ducks Unlimited Board, the funds raised will go to help wildlife.

DSA’s Pot O’ Gold Promotion Starts Wednesday

The Downtown Sheridan Association Historic District Promotions Committee will start their new campaign Wednesday. The St. Patrick’s Day themed promotion is titled the Pot O’ Gold according to Beth Holsinger, the DSA Executive Director.

Senate Joint Resolution 9, the proposed constitutional amendment sponsored by State Senator Dave Kinskey of Sheridan has cleared the Senate and is awaiting consideration in the House of Representatives.
