Sheridan County School District 2 trustees approved a contract this weekend under which the district will teach online courses nationwide on a professional learning community.

This summer, the Sheridan College music department will host their first annual summer jazz workshop, Jazz In the Bighorns, on July 30 through August 4 at the college’s campus in the Bighorn Mountains.

Towards the end of March the Little Big Horn Chapter of Trout Unlimited (TU) will provide a fly fishing course for students at the Wyoming Girls’ School as part of their physical education program.

On Monday, March 20, Black Hills Energy will celebrate National Gas Utility Workers’ Day. This day will recognize Black Hills Energy employees who provide gas service safely and reliably to customers.

On the morning of Wednesday, March 15, a Yellowstone National Park employee observed a grizzly bear between Mammoth Hot Springs and Tower-Roosevelt. Later that morning, park staff witnessed two more grizzly bears scavenging carcasses in the northern region of the park.

The Wyoming Technology Business Center launched the e2e program in 2009 as a way to improve the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the state. The WTBC will host their next program Wednesday night at 5:30 at the Best Western Sheridan Center.

Since Sheridan Memorial Hospital staff took over the Gould Street location in January, more than 60 groups have used the large community room that's available on the site.
