In the latest round of negotiations with Sheridan's City Council, George Neeson, who's president of the Sheridan firefighters' union, asked for bonus pay for those who are performing the duties of the fire marshal and division chief.

Action came during the council meeting Monday night. Jim Harmon, who's the city's finance and administrative services director, explained where the funds are coming from.

The total raised from the event was $10,540. Along with $2,460 in matching funds from Sheridan Community Federal, Hammer Chevrolet, Westview Health Care, Sheridan Motor, and Alessence Massage & Skincare Atelier, the total raised is $13,000.

Sheridan's eighth annual Ice Show will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on the Whitney Rink at the M&M's Center on Brundage Street.

Rockabilly Hall of Fame singer-songwriter Buzz Cason will be performing a benefit concert for Project Schoolhouse on Wednesday at the Sheridan WYO Theater. Project Schoolhouse is an organization that provides education, clean water, and sanitation in rural Nicaraguan communities.
