Fair Features Non-traditional Animals As Well

Most of us that have gone to a fair in our lives know that beef, hogs, sheep and even dogs and cats are given their time to shine, but there is also a place for non-traditional animals and pets as well.

During the events Monday at the Johnson County Fair, one judge had the opportunity to meet some interesting animals and their owners during the Pocket Pets competition.

JCHC Volunteer Coordinator Building Program From Scratch

The Johnson County Healthcare Center in Buffalo created a new position earlier this year to help coordinate the many volunteers that help at the facility, recruit more volunteers, and to build a program from the ground up.

Sheep Featured Tuesday at Johnson County Fair

The 2019 Johnson County Fair and Rodeo is underway and will continue through Sunday, August 4th at the fairgrounds in Buffalo.

Tuesday's events include everything sheep, from the sheep show to the lamb feed, and the popular Sheep Lead competition that night.

University officials said last week the campaign helped build enrollment and sell merchandise and has been popular among Wyoming residents.

Wyoming school district to allow teachers to carry guns

LANDER, Wyo. (AP) — A Wyoming school district has decided to allow teachers and staff to carry guns in school.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports the Fremont County school board voted 4-2 on July 23 to allow approved staff to carry guns.
