Following an executive session, trustees of the Northern Wyoming Community College District voted Wednesday night to make a counter-offer for the sale of the Spear-O Wigwam.

The Wyoming Business Council board of directors convened the first of two days of meetings Wednesday in the Thorne-Rider Campus Center at Sheridan College.

The new aquatics center at the Sheridan County YMCA is nearing completion and scheduled to open early next year, which will finish the process that began with fundraising and design work a few years ago.

Among those attending the remembrance ceremonies at Sheridan's fire station Wednesday morning were 50 students from Holy Name School.

The Buffalo Chamber of Commerce luncheon for September will be next Wednesday and will feature Buffalo's Mountain Meadow Wool Mill.

Sheridan College will celebrate the second annual Whitney Days next week to honor Edward A. Whitney and his legacy of support of higher education in Sheridan County.

The Hub on Smith in Sheridan will be holding three public meetings on Wednesday with the purpose of introducing and sharing information about the new fixed bus route that Goose Creek Transit will begin in October.

With the ringing of a bell, bagpipes and a flight of doves, Sheridan people were called Wednesday morning to remember the events of Sept. 11, 2001.
