Calliope George, a long time resident of Sheridan, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2011 at the age of 98. She had been a resident of Sugarland Ridge in her later years. Calliope was the last survivor of a group of closely knit Greek families who settled in the area in the early 1900s.

Merle Glen Canfield, 89, of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2011 at the

VA Medical Center.

Terrence Edmund O’Donnell long time resident of Redfield, South Dakota, recently of Sheridan, Wyoming died of natural causes at age 93 in the Sheridan County Memorial Hospital on December 31, 2010 at 3:30 p.m.

Robert "John" Norskog, 79, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Billings Clinic.

Joseph Harold Shaffer, 75, of Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the VA Medical Center.

Services for Joseph will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 1:00 at the Black Hills National

Cemetery with full Military Honors.

Elaine V. Wentz, 77, died Sunday, January 2, 2011at Rapid City Regional Hospital, Rapid City, SD.

Belva Jean "Bege" Dilloway, 55, of Sheridan, passed away at her home on Friday, December 31, 2010.

Funeral services for Pete Angeloff, 81 year old Buffalo man who passed away December 31, 2010 will be held Friday, January 7th at 2:00 PM from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Tony Forman officiating. Inurnment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery.

Funeral Services for Simon Iberlin, 88 year old life long Buffalo resident who passed away on December 31, 2010 at the Amie Holt Care Center, will be held Tuesday January 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo. A Rosary will be recited on Monday January 3, at 7:00 p.m. from the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 until 5:00 p.m.

Funeral services for Irene M. (Oster) Stearns, age 84, of Gillette, Wyoming will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the Church at the Barn,(Mike Morrison Ministries) 2 McKenzie Road, Gillette, WY. Visitation will be from 8:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Irene died peacefully at Pioneer Manor Care Center in Gillette, WY on Thursday, December 30, 2010 surrounded by her family.
