Holiday Basketball Clinic for Girls

Posted in

On Saturday afternoon Sheridan Lady Generals Head Coach Frank McCarthy and several of his Lady Generals held the "Lady Generals Holiday Basketball Clinic" for girls grades 1st through 8th in the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome.

Here, during one of the breaks Coach McCarthy talks to the 33 participants while Lady General Fallon Lewis, on the right, delivers liquid to those thirsty from the first 3 and a half hours of the 4-hour session.
At the end of the clinic the participants posed with the basketballs that were given to them along with some Lady General Posters. Do you suppose the girls had fun? Scroll down and judge for yourself.
You bet the girls had fun. And after this photo was taken they were off to get those new basketballs autographed by the Lady Generals.

Goodbye 2011

For the last time in 2011 the sun sinks behind the Bighorns adorned with a fresh coat of snow and Old Glory that proudly flies from the entryway at 224 Upper Road - between Sheridan and Big Horn. When we next see the sunrise it will be 2012. Happy New Year!

Keeping an Eye on Kendrick Park

Evidently not many people visit Kendrick Park in the Winter so this squirrel is keeping an "eye" on things until Spring.

Confused duck?

Perhaps no one told this mallard duck that the Polar Bear Plunge is January 1st at Lake DeSmet - not on December 28th in Kendrick Park. Speaking of "The Plunge" the one on January 1, 2012 will mark the 25th anniversary of the Polar Bear Plunge.
