Slow Start - Strong Finish

With it slow going in the first half Senior Riley Ryan fired up the crowd and pulled the Broncs to within 2 on this dunk as the time ran down in the first half. The Riverton Wolverines went into the halftime break up 26 to 24 over the Broncs but it was a different story in the second half that saw the Broncs outscore the Wolverines 38 to 30 for a final score of 62 to 56.

The Lady Broncs Stampede All Over the Lady Wolverines

Lady Bronc Celena Kelly didn't see action until the second half but then she dominated with 2 deuces and 3 treys for a team high 13-points to help propel the Lady Broncs to a72 to 13 drubbing of the Riverton Lady Wolverines at home Saturday afternoon. By the time the afternoon ended 12 Lady Broncs were in the scoring column to only 6 for Riverton whose high scorer had but 3-points.

Stephen Yellowtail Leads the Eagles over Rocky Mountain

The Tongue River Lady Eagles won by 30 in the early game and Stephen Yellowtail scored 30 in the evening game as he led his team to a 52 to 44 victory over the Grizz from Rocky Mountain in Dayton Friday evening.

It was no contest as the Tongue River Lady Eagles beat the Lady Grizz of Rocky Mountain by 30-points - 51 to 21 in Dayton Friday afternoon. The Lady Eagles made it look easy and as this photo shows they did part of it with their eyes closed.

Swing Into Christmas

Swing Into Christmas is exactly what the Sheridan High School group "Spectrum" did as they sang and performed that medley to kick off the Winter Concert Thursday evening. The entire SHS Vocal Music Department joined in as the evening progressed with selections directed by Ashley Lecholat and accompanied by Lisa Robertson on the piano.

Visitor's Center Coming to Ranchester

A year and a half after the Town of Ranchester was awarded a Wyoming Business Council Community Development Block Grant in May 2010, an additional Business Ready Communities grant and some matching funds provided by the Town of Ranchester, the Ranchester Entryway Rehabilitation Plan is well underway.

The Ranchester visitor center which should be completed by Spring will provide visitor information about the area and contain a restroom.
The now vacant and leveled parcels of land are located west of the "Ranchester Welcomes You" sign will the new Visitor's Center is going up across the highway to the north.

Coaching Honors

During the recent Bronc football award night Sheridan senior Jordan Roberts emceed the presentation of a framed Bronc football jersey to Head Football Coach Don Julian. The number 23 represents Sheridan's 23rd State Football Championship. This achievement is perhaps among the reasons why Julian was named Fall Sports Coach of the Year for football by the Wyoming Coaches Association.

Don Julian - SHS Football Head Coach - guided the SHS football team to an 11 & 1 record taking the state championship title for the second time in three years . Note that Don is still wet from the gatorade bath the team gave him upon winning the 23rd championship on the field at Laramie.
Larry Martoglio - SHS Golf Head Coach - coached the SHS golf team to an undefeated season and the team's second state title in a row
Wendy Ruby - SHS Volleyball Head Coach - head coach of the state champion SHS volleyball team - the second ever title for Sheridan
Bob Faurot - SHS Tennis Head Coach - guided the Lady Bronc tennis team to a second place finish at state for the fifth straight year
Kevin Rizer - SHS Football Assistant Coach - offensive line coach of the champion SHS Bronc football team
The framed #23 Bronc Football Jersey still covered in plastic wrap that will proudly hang on one of Coach Julian's walls - walls that are rapidly filling up with awards.
