Lachlan Brennan in "Stars of Tomorrow" Rehearsal

On January 30th Sheridan High School senior Lachlan Brennan was rehearsing the third movement of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata in Division IV of the local Kiwanis Stars of Tomorrow Talent Contest on the stage of the WYO Theater in Sheridan Wyoming.

A Piece of My Heart

The opening scene of "A Piece of My Heart" - the story of six women who served their country in Vietnam. In the beginning, shown here, each woman recounted the reasons for signing up. This production was one of the special remembrances in 2014 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War and was held in the atrium at the Edward A. Whitney Academic Center following dinner on Thursday evening.

In the final scene an elderly veteran sees Leeann who he thinks was one of his nurses though she is not sure but the two still embrace.
Following the performance the 7 member cast took questions in a back-and-forth exchange with the audience. Both the audience and cast members were moved as a result of the evening's performance. In the back Diane stands by Jerry, a Vietnam Veteran who she said was her "crutch" to help her get through the evening.

Friends of the Library Makes Donation

The Friends of the Library presented a $52,000 check to Sheridan County Public Library System Director Cameron Duff at the library’s board of directors meeting April 16. The donation brings the total amount donated by the Friends group to more than $1 million over 31 years.

'The Last Supper'

Members of the congregation at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheridan will be performing a dramatization of “The Last Supper” this evening at 7'clock. The dramatization is free and open to the public and will take place at the church at 135 Crescent Drive.
