The Elks Northwest District Hoop Shoot

The Elks Northwest District Hoop Shoot, hosted by Sheridan Lodge #520, was held on January 26 at the Sheridan College Hoffman Dome.

Eighteen kids and families from Cody, Greybull, Worland, Buffalo, Dayton, Big Horn, and Sheridan braved the weather to compete for a chance to go to the State Hoop Shoot.

The winners were: 8 - 9 Girls: 1. Kennedi Niemann, Cody, 14/25 5/5
2. Brooke Wright, Worland 14/25 2/5

8 - 9 Boys: 1. Court Gonsalez, Worland 24/25
2. Kamden Niemann, Cody 21/25

Weekend Local Sports Wrap Up

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Lady Bronc basketball team is 13-1 after winning at Laramie and Cheyenne South. They beat Laramie 56-39 and the Bison 56-26.

The Broncs are 12-2 after a 73-53 win over Laramie Reed Ritterbusch had 31 points in the victory he came back with a 24 point game Saturday in their win over South.

The broncs had as much as a 21 point lead Saturday before faltering in the 4th quarter an settling for a 63-50 win, head coach Gale Smith says it was a good learning experience for the players.

Another Jo Co HS Sports Weekend In The Books 01 26 14

Buffalo and Kaycee high school athletes were all in competition this weekend, and most had good results.

The Bison boys' basketball team took both of their games this week, defeating Nedwcastle 70-33 on Thursday and Torrington 71-39 on Saturday. They are now 4-2 in conference, 8-6 overall.
