Troopers sweep Douglas (Stauffer outstanding on the hill) Football Camps begin / UW Tennis camp next week

Tyler Stauffer throws a four hit Shutout against Douglas

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers swept two from Douglas Thursday night to even their record to 5-5.

The Troops put up seven runs in the bottom of the first inning in the opening game and that stood up for a 9-7 victory, Head coach Ben Phillips.

Several of the less experienced Troopers did a nice job of getting the lead in the first game Phillips says the younger guys continue to play well.

Trooper baseball home opener tonight / SHS all-state soccer list / Phillies walk off on the Rockies

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are 3-5 overall at looking forward to finally playing at home tonight.

They've played their first eight games on the road, Head coach Ben Phillips says it'll be good for the players to play at Thorne-Rider in front of the home fans.

The Troops have been a little short handed with injuries to some of their veteran players, Phillips says the young guys have been getting a lot of action.

UW Tennis camps coming to Sheridan

Tennis weather has arrived and University of Wyoming will be holding a tennis camp here in Sheridan June 2-6 at the SHS tennis courts. It is open to all boys and girls ages 7-18, no matter their skill level.

The purpose of the camp is to provide all attendees the opportunity to acquire, develop and improve their tennis skills with an emphasis on good technique, strategy, motivation and fun.

Also to provide on court coaching during match play to better understand how to construct points and how to play every point with a purpose.

Troopers home opener Thursday night / Generals hoop camp / Rockies down the Phils

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are 3-5 overall at looking forward to finally playing at home tomorrow night against Douglas the first game is schedule to start at 5:00.

GENERALS YOUTH BASKETBALL CAMP - Sheridan college Men's basketball coach Steve Smiley will host the Generals youth basketball camp June 9th - 12th at the Hoffman dome the camp is open to all boys K-10th grade.

May 26th

State Soccer and Track / Troopers home opener Thursday / Rockies fall at the Phillies

STATE SOCCER - The Sheridan Lady Broncs made it to the title game at the state tournament in Rock Springs they played Cheyenne East in the finals.

The Lady T-Birds blew the game open late in the first half and went onto beat the Lady Broncs 6-1.

STATE TRACK - The Wyoming state track and field championships finished the spring sports season over the weekend.

In the final team results in 4-A the Lady Broncs were 9th and the Broncs 12th.

Lady Bison State 3A Soccer Champs, Boys Third

The Buffalo Lady Bison captured the state crown in 3A Soccer this past weekend at the state tournament in Jackson.

Heat control second half in win over Pacers

MIAMI (AP) - The Miami Heat followed a rather ugly half with a very good one in taking a two-games-to-one lead over the Indiana Pacers in the NBA's Eastern Conference finals.

Lady Bronc Soccer to play for the state championship / State Track continues / Troopers fall at Gillette

STATE SOCCER - The Sheridan Lady Bronc soccer team will play for the 4-A state soccer title today.

They beat Gillette in the semi finals Friday 3-0 and will play conference rival Cheyenne East for the state title.

TRACK / FIELD - State track and field finishes up today in Casper The Lady Broncs are in 9th place the Broncs are 12th.

In 2-A the Big Horn girls are 6th the boys are 17th, the TR girls are 15th and the boys 14th.

In the 1-A team race the Arvada/Clearmont girls are in 15th place.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Troopers dropped a 9-1 game against Gillette Friday night.

Lady Bronc advance at stete soccer / State track continues / Troopers back in action tonight

STATE SOCCER - The 4-A East dominated play on the first day of the state soccer tournament as seven of eight teams advanced to the semi finals.

In the girls bracket the Sheridan Lady Broncs beat West number one seed Casper Kelly Walsh 1-0 they will play Gillette in the semi finals today, the other semi final has Laramie playing Cheyenne East

Three of the boys East teams advanced to the semi finals yesterday with Green River being the lone team from the west to make it to the winners bracket.
