May 13th

Youth Track champs

Alex Garber tops the podium
Jaxon Parker tops the podium

Holy Name took some kids to the Best of the Best track meet in Douglas today and competed against 21 schools from the state.

Jaxon Parker won the 7th grade Shot Put throwing 36-10 1/2 feet.

Alex Garber (who is a 6th grader) won the championship in the 7th grade 2400 Meter Run and the 800 Meter Run.

Youth Soccer champs

Sheridan Storm U12 Girls Team won the Silver Division at the Snickers Cup held May 10th and 11th at the Big Horn Equestrian Center.

Soccer and Track post season opens / Ritterbusch signs to play tennis / Troopers on the road this week

Bronc Senior Reed Ritterbusch will play tennis in college

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams head to their regional this week in Gillette. The Broncs open the first round Thursday with Cheyenne East in a loser out match at 5:30.

The Lady Broncs have an automatic bid into the state tournament and a first round bye at the regional they play in the semi finals Friday.

TRACK AND FIELD - High school track and field Regionals begin Friday, the 4-A East will be held at Cheyenne South high school.

Big Horn, Tongue River, Arvada/Clearmont and NSI track athletes have their regional meet in Torrington.

Troopers rained out / Rockies off to a 23-17 start / Spring Sports post season begins this week

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers had their home opener rained out Sunday and now wait six more days until their next games.

The Troops are schedule to play at Rapid City post #320 Saturday and two in Powell Sunday.

Head coach Ben Phillips says they just have to play the waiting game and right now they just need to play to get the bats going and get that pitching staff more live innings.

The next home date for the Troops will be Thursday May 29th in a double header with Douglas.

Buffalo Soccer Wins, Kaycee Hosts Track Meet

The Buffalo High School Boys' and girls' soccer teams won their games this week and will finish their seasons against Worland this week, then wait for their matchups in the State Tournament May 23-24.

May 10th

Bronc / Lady Bronc soccer / Trooper home opener tomorrow / Rockies fall on the road

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams split their games with Gillette Friday night.

In the boys game Gillette got a late goal and beat the Broncs 1-0, the Broncs now head to their regional tournament in Gillette next week they open with Cheyenne East in a loser out match Thursday evening at 5:30.

The Lady Broncs had to beat Gillette to get the #2 seed in the regional tournament and they did it with a 3-1 victory.

They will get the automatic bid into the state tournament and a first round bye at the regional they play in the semi finals Friday.

Sheridan v Gillette Soccer tonight / Trooper baseball home opener Sunday

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer end the regular season this evening hosting a conference double header with Gillette the Broncs play at 4:00, the girls varsity match will go at 6:00.

The Lady Broncs are still in the hunt for an automatic bid into the state tournament but they must win tonight, Head coach Mallery Marshall says tonight's match should be very competitive.

AC's Shayna Kretschman Signs with Sheridan College

Arvada Clearmont High School standout Shayna Kretschman has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Sheridan College next season.

“We have been watching Shayna the last two seasons at Arvada Clearmont, and really like her skills,” said Sheridan College coach Frank McCarthy. “We feel she can shoot the basketball and also put it on the floor and get to the rim.

She comes from a very good high school program, under the direction of Farrah Patterson.Shayna is also a very good student with a 3.9 GPA.

May 7th

TR's Rawlings signs at Sheridan college

Tongue River point guard, Sarah Rawlings, has committed to Sheridan College to play basketball for the Lady Generals next season.

The 5’5 point guard led Tongue River to the 2A State Championship title the last two seasons, and held a 54-2 record over both seasons. Rawlings made All-Conference and All-State in her sophomore, junior, and senior years, and averaged 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 4.4 assists in her senior season, while also being named 2A East Co-Player of the Year.
