College Hoops / Pokes Football season ends Saturday / Broncos hang on for victory / Super 25 and all-state football honors

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals are 8-2 overall and get ready for home action this weekend. if you haven't seen the Generals in action this season they will play four home games over the next two weekends, Head coach Matt Hammer.

Hammer says the buckets will take care of themselves but the defense is where they need the most work over the next three weeks before the holiday break.

November 21st

Generals / Lady Generals / Cowboys / Cowgirls hoop action / Pokes host Boise state on the gridiron Saturday night

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals head to Casper for a tournament today the Generals are 6-2 overall, Head coach Matt Hammer says they get some good competition this weekend and need to build some momentum for next week's Lions club tournament at the Hoffman dome.

The Lady Generals will be at home tonight and tomorrow hosting their own tournament. they will play at 7:00 tonight and 3:00 tomorrow afternoon.

Former walk-on Colby Wollenman could see increased role for Michigan State

EAST LANSING -- While Duke was trotting former McDonald's All-Americans off the bench Tuesday night in Indianapolis, Michigan State was turning to a player of a different sort of background.

Junior forward Colby Wollenman came to East Lansing from Wyoming in 2011 with no intention of even playing basketball. He didn't think he was good enough, but tried out anyway and made the team.

SC Opens new indoor arena / Generals and Lady Generals hoops back in action tomorrow

SHERIDAN COLLEGE RODEO - Sheridan college held an open house Wednesday to show off the new Sheridan college Agri-Park north of town which includes an indoor arena.

A few hundred people attended the all day open house and were treated by the Sheridan college rodeo team to their practice with some bronc riding and roping events.

SC rodeo coach Marc Gilkerson says it was a great day for the rodeo team members and the college.

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals head to Casper for a tournament this weekend, next week they are at home during the annual Lions club tournament.

The Lady Generals will be at home Friday and Saturday hosting their own tournament and again they join the Generals as the hosts for the annual Sheridan Lions club tournament Thanksgiving weekend and the following weekend they will be at home as well.

November 18th

Generals play at home tonight / Cowgirls open with a blow out win / Pokes back in action tonight

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals get back on the court tonight at home against an all-star team at 7:00 it starts of good week of action as they head to Casper for a tournament this weekend, Head coach Matt Hammer.

Next week the Generals are at home during the annual Lions club tournament then the following weekend they will also play a home tournament December 5th and 6th.

And Hammer says the season is still very new and the players are still working on chemistry issues.

Three Generals basketball players sign with NCAA schools

Two Sheridan College men’s basketball players and one from the SC women’s team signed their letters of intent for the 2015-16 season.

Sierra Toms, a 6-foot-1 post player from Gillette, Wyoming, signed with Black Hills State in Spearfish, S.D. The Division II Yellowjackets compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

During her freshman season at Sheridan College, Toms averaged 14.5 points and 5.2 rebounds a game. She earned All-Region IX honors and led the Generals to a 19-win season.
