Weekend Local Sports Wrap Up

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams split games with Cheyenne East Friday night the Lady broncs won 59-47 and had a little let down Saturday but had a great second half and blew out Central 63-35 the Broncs came back with a good win at Central 44-36.

Lady Broncs Head coach Jessica Pickett says it was a good weekend overall for the Lady Broncs.

Now they get ready for Friday's home game with Gillette.

Overall a Good Weekend For JoCo HS Sports

A pretty good weekend in high school sports has wrapped up with most teams in Johnson County faring well.

The Bison boys' basketball team defeated the Bearcats on the road at Douglas 57-54, but the Lady Bison dropped their game in Douglas 56-46 Friday night.

Saturday Bronc Basketball Scores

The Sheridan Broncs win their match against the Cheyenne Central Indians today with a final score of 44 to 36 in Sheridan's favor.

The Lady Broncs also win their game against Central with a final score of 63 to 35.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams split games with Cheyenne East Friday night the Lady Broncs won 59-47 while the Broncs lost at east 64-62.

Both games today with Cheyenne Central tip at 1:00 the Broncs can be heard on 14-10 KWYO and Lady Broncs on 87.7.

EAGLES / LADY EAGLES HOOPS - The Tongue River basketball teams swept games from Wright Friday night girls won 58-29 boys won 65-62 they host Greybull today

Lots of home local sports action on the weekend schedule / Super Bowl 48 live Sunday

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams play conference games with Cheyenne East and Central tonight and tomorrow afternoon.

East will be one of the teams the Lady Broncs will have to contend with not only during the regular season but in the post season as well, Lady Broncs Head coach Jessica Pickett.

The final weekend of competition in January kicked off last night with Kaycee's Buckaroosand Lady Bucs basketball teams hosting Arvada-Clearmont. No results were yet available.

SC Hoops sweep Western Wyoming / Cowgirls and Pokes split with Fresno state

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals swept games with Western Wyoming Wednesday night. The Lady Generals came from 10 down in the second half to post a 72-64 victory,

The Generals had lost two in a row and looked early to be headed for their third straight loss, the starters forced Head coach Steve smiley's hand and he benched them 2 minutes into the second half and the five replacements won the day for the Generals Head coach Steve Smiley.

Sheridan College Basketball Scores

Both the Generals and the Lady Generals won their matches against Western Wyoming College.

The Generals ended their night with a score of 87 to 76, while the lady generals had a final score of 72 to 64 in their favor.

Big weekend of Bronc Wrestling coming up / Live Generals and Cowboy hoops tonight

BRONC WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers will be back in action this week hosting duals with Cheyenne East and Central Friday and Laramie and Cheyenne South Saturday.

There are only three weeks left in the regular season Head coach Tyson Shatto says the Broncs are in a good place right now.

And he says the Broncs are happy to be hosting these conference duals and wrestling fans should enjoy all the action.

Tyson talks about the the team's preparation for four duals in two days.

Sheridan College women’s soccer signs Montana standout

Montana High School star soccer player Alexis Lewis signed her National Letter of Intent to join the Sheridan College women’s soccer team this fall.

Lewis, a senior forward, had a stellar prep career for the Class A Locomotives, including a five-goal performance against Missoula Loyola in August 2013. She was a Montana All-Conference and All-State winner.

“Alexis Lewis has a lot of experience playing up top,” Sheridan College head coach Stefan Skillman said. “She will bring a quick pace and a great change of direction to the team.
