High School football playoffs:Sheridan and Tongue River advance Big Horn and NSI eliminated

The Sheridan Broncs beat Evanston 48-0 and Tongue River upset Cokeville 28-21 to advance to next week's semi final round.

Big Horn lost at Greybull 27-25 and NSI lost at LSR.

Regional volleyball continues today in Big Horn and Cheyenne.

High School football playoffs: TR TAKES DOWN COKEVILLE

The Tongue River Eagles beat the Panthers in Cokeville 28-21 to advance to the 1-A Semi finals.

Wyoming High School Football Playoffs open today / Pokes play at Utah state tonight / Regional volleyball begins as well as state swimming and diving

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs host Evanston tonight we will have it live for you on 14-10 KWYO the First Federal pregame show will start at 5:30 with kickoff at 6:00.

Ticket prices are higher for playoff games, Bronc Head coach Don Julian says the prices are set by the Wyoming high school activities association.

At halftime tonight Sheridan high school will be honoring the players and coaches in the Bronc program from the great championship teams of the 1990's.

High School football playoffs open Friday / Pokes at Utah State Friday night / Broncos host the Pack Sunday night

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams will play at Greybull tomorrow night in the 2-A Quarter finals the game will kickoff at 6:00 and we will have the broadcast live on News / Talk 930 KROE.

The Rams have played in the last two state title games winning in 2013 and losing in the finals last fall, Head coach Micheal McGuire says this year's rams squad got rolling after a few weeks.

The Rams knocked off number one Wheatland on the road last week and McGuire likes what he sees from the Rams right now.

4-A State Swimming / Diving championships start Friday / High School football playoffs open Friday / Wyoming at Utah State Friday / Broncos v Packers Sunday Night

STATE SWIMMING AND DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS - The Sheridan Lady Bronc swimmers and divers close out their season this weekend at the 4-A state championships, prelims start Friday afternoon in Gillette.

Lady Bronc Head coach Brent Moore says the taper for the state meet has gone very well for all the swimmers.

And he says they have worked hard over the last week preparing them not only physically but mentally as well.

Bronc football to host “Night of Champions” Friday

On October 30th Sheridan High School will recognize the championship football teams of the 1990s in a "Night of Champions”. The Broncs will be hosting a first-round playoff game that night so it is fitting to look back even as we look forward to more glory on the playing field.

In the 1990s SHS dominated on the gridiron. In a span of just six years the Broncs picked up five Wyoming football championships including championships in 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, and 1995 seasons.

Football playoffs: Eagles look to dethrone Cokeville / Broncs v Evanston / Rams play at Greybull / NSI at LSR

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles are in the 1-A playoffs for the second straight season and like 2014 they will play at Cokeville Friday.

Eagles Head coach John Scott says the players had a very good regular season and won some big games.

And the fact that had to win big games late and faced elimination last week at Pine Bluffs.

And he says for the players it is their hard work that had paid off to get them in this position.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS - The Sheridan Broncs, Big Horn Rams, Tongue River Eagles and NSI Wolves all made the high school football playoffs all four teams posted victories Friday and have good momentum heading into their first round games. The broncs will play at home Friday while the Rams, Eagles and Wolves will all play on the road.

The Broncs beat Cheyenne South 57-17 to finish the regular season 8-1 Head coach Don Julian says the Broncs took care of business Friday night.

Another Friday night sweep for Sheridan county football teams

The Sheridan Broncs,Big Horn,Tongue River and NSI all posted football victories and all are headed to the first round of the playoffs which begin next Friday.

The Wyoming Cowboys play at Boise state tonight you can hear the game live on KWYO and 87.7 FM pregame starts at 7:00.
