Bronc Swimmers and Divers Pick up Dual win at Buffalo / Bronc Hoops Play Home Opener Friday Night / Hawks Hockey Play Two at Home This Weekend

SWIMMING / DIVING - The Bronc swimmers and divers had a dual in Buffalo Tuesday night and came out on the winning side by the final score of 128-40 the Broncs won all the events including the diving.

They head out on the road Friday and Saturday for action in Cody and Riverton

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams they have games with Billings Skyview Friday night the Broncs will host the Falcons the Lady Broncs will travel to Billings.

SHS Senior Coy Steel 2016 Gatorade Football Player of the Year / BH andTR Host the East / West Challenge

2016 GATORADE FOOTBALL AWARD - The 2016 Wyoming football Gatorade player of the year is Sheridan Bronc Senior Coy Steel the award caps off a tremendous run by the Broncs this past season with several post season individual awards to go along with their second straight 4-A football title.

Last month Steel joined a long list of Bronc football All-state selections and was named the Wyoming defensive play of the year, meeting with Coy Monday he gave credit to his teammates and coaches.

Sheridan High School Senior Coy Steel Named 2016 Wyoming "Gatorade Player of the Year"

Gatorade announced today that Senior Coy Steel was named Wyoming's Football player of the year today.

Steel was a member of this year's Bronc state championship team among his post season honors all-conference and all-state at multiple postions and voted the 4-A Defensive player of the year and Casper Star Tribune Super 25 selection.

Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Bronc and Lady bronc basketball teams both went 2-1 in Riverton on the weekend they picked up wins over Evanston and Jackson while losing to Rock Springs, Lady Broncs Head coach Jessica Pickett.

This is the first season the team will play without two time Gatorade player of the year Robbi Ryan and Pickett says it a transition for all of them as they look to move forward.

Local Youth Runner Places in Top 10 at the National Junior Olympic Championships

Gavin Sweeney

12 year old Gavin Sweeney son of Mike and Stacy Sweeney, ran in the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships in Cross Country.

The race was held in Hoover, AL. Gavin placed 8th out of 418 runners in his race. The race is 1.86 miles. First place time was 10:36. Gavin's time was 11:01.

Bronc / Lady Bronc Hoops Post Season Opening Victories / Bronc Wrestlers Win Dual Over Worland / Cowgirl Basketball Hosts Idaho Tonight / Pokes Back in Action Tomorrow

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams swept victories from Evanston Thursday in the season opener for both teams.

The Lady Broncs beat Evanston 45-41 Riley Rafferty led the way with 15 points the Broncs beat the Red Devils 42-38 Drew Boedecker led the Broncs with 15 points.

Today they play Rock Springs at 1:30 and 3:00 they close out the weekend against Jackson games are early tomorrow morning at 9:00 and 10:30 all four games can be heard on 14-10 KWYO.
