October 30th

SC Basketball Season Starts Tomorrow at Home / Broncs and Rams Open the Football Playoffs / Hawks Back on the Home ice

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals basketball teams will play will play two tune up games at home Friday and Saturday the Generals will play a club team from the former Ricks college in Rexburg, Idaho the Lady Generals will play the Rocky Mountain college JV’s and an All-star team.

Both teams open the season Tuesday night in the Hoffman dome against Western Nebraska game times will be at 5:30 and 7:30.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs open the 4-A playoffs at home Friday night with Casper Kelly Walsh game time has been set for 6:00 we will have it all live for you on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM the fFrst Federal bank and trust pregame show will start at 5:30.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams open open the 1-A playoffs Friday at home with Wind River the game will kickoff at 5:00 and you can hear it on Fox Sports radio 87.7 FM you can also listen to both playoff games live on our football web streams at

Bronc State X-Country Title / Volleyball Regional Tournaments Begin Friday / Broncs and Rams Open the Football Playoffs at Home Friday

BRONC / LADY BRONC CROSS COUNTRY - Sheridan high school is celebrating the Bronc cross country team’s state championship, we sat down with Head coach Art Bauers at the school Monday in the aftermath of the first boys cross country state title in school history.

First up today Bauers talks about the Broncs coming back from a rough finish in 2018 to win it all.

Weekend Sports Wrap up

CROSS COUNTRY - The Wyoming high school cross country season came to and end Saturday with Sheridan counties latest state title being brought home by the Sheridan Broncs.

The Broncs capped off a near perfect season with Sheridan high school’s first boys state cross county championship led by two all-state performances and five top 15 finishes.

Austin Akers led the way in 7th place, Alex Garber was 8th, Tim Brown was 11th,
David Standish was 13th and Reese Charest was 14th.

The Lady Broncs were 4th led by all state finisher Katie Turpin in 9th place

Another Big Sports Weekend Starts Today

X-COUNTRY - The high school cross country season ends at the state championships in Afton tomorrow the Broncs and Lady Broncs are expected to contend for the 4-A state championship.

SWIMMING / DIVING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will compete in their conference meet this weekend in Cheyenne the meet starts today at Cheyenne central.

VOLLEYBALL - The high school volleyball regular season ends this week the Sheridan Lady Broncs host Campbell county tonight the varsity match is scheduled for 5:00, they play at Thunder Basin Saturday.

X-COUNTRY - The High school cross country season ends at the state championships in Afton Saturday.

Both Sheridan teams are in the mix to challenge for the title and Head coach Art Bauers training this week is about the same as they have done all . season.

Bronc / Lady Bronc X-Country Prepping for State / Lady Bronc Swimmers and Divers Start the Postseason

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams made a clean sweep winning their conference championships now its onto the state meet Saturday in Afton.

Head coach Art Bauers says they had a tremendous day for the whole program.

And now they put all the season victories behind them and focus shifts now to being fast for one more race at the state meet Saturday.

Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs beat Laramie 55-7 to run their record to 7-1 on a cold and windy night in Laramie, Head coach Jeff Mowry said the players did a great job of blocking out the playing conditions.

They started great with a 6 minute drive that ended with a touchdown and Mowry says the long scoring drive is just what they wanted to see at the start.
