BLM Receives C+ from Wilderness Group

The Wilderness Society issued a report this week on land conservation endeavors.

WYOMING NEWS SERVICE, Cheyenne, WY - An overall grade of C+ has been issued to the Bureau of Land Management, according to a new report card released Wednesday by The Wilderness Society. The report tracks how the BLM is doing in keeping National Landscape Conservation System holdings healthy and accessible to the public.

Two Arrested for Cabin Burglaries

The Sheridan County Sheriff's Office has received several reports over the last few weeks of cabin burglaries in the the Bighorn Mountains near the Burgess Junction area, specifically along the Tongue, Big Willow, Little Willow, and North Tongue drainages.

Partnership Will Help Expand the Arts at Sheridan College

In late August of this year, the WYO Theater, the City of Sheridan, and Sheridan College partnered to submit a grant application through the Wyoming Business Council. The grant is for a Business Ready Communities Grant in the amount of $3 million. The plan is to renovate not only the WYO Theater, but to also renovate the Hallmark and Perkins buildings as well.
