The Sheridan-WYO Rodeo royalty pageant is growing, with 10 competing Saturday for the four titles to be awarded, according to Marva Craft.

Craft is the liaison between the Sheridan-WYO Rodeo board and the rodeo queen board.

Craft said the recruiting process this year has been more aggressive, and the number of contestants this year is awesome.

Competitors included two for junior princess, two for princess, six for senior princess and one for queen.

A pageant was held Saturday morning at The WYO Theater, and horsemanship competition was Saturday night at the Sheridan College arena in Sheridan's industrial park.

The competition was for the reigning royalties at next year's rodeo, and the winners will be announced at a luncheon on July 11 and crowned on Saturday during the last performance of this year's Sheridan-WYO Rodeo.
