4-H Dog Program Needs Equipment Funds

Lauri Schwabauer, with the 4-H Dog Program, says they need new, lighter weight equipment for dog agility classes at the fairs.

She told the county fair board at a meeting Thursday that the program needs funds to buy the new equipment. Board members asked her to develop a list of specific equipment the program needs and bring the information back to next month's meeting.

Fairgrounds Manager Jamie Ringley said the program does need new equipment, and noted the fair board bought a new equestrian kit for the horse program last year.

Representatives for the proposed Demolition Derby were scheduled to be on the fair board's agenda, but no one attended from that organization. The derby is scheduled for October.
