8,000+ Meals Available to Seniors

Each Shelf Stable meals pack contains a juice box, canned fruit, canned chicken, crackers, cookie, and condiments.

The Sheridan Senior Center and the Wyoming Department of Health have partnered to make shelf-stable meals available to Sheridan County residents age 60 and older. Just what is a shelf-stable meal? Lois Bell with the Senior Center explains.

There is a caveat to receiving the meals, in that they must be distributed by October 20th.

Bells indicates that there is no income requirement for those 60 and better to qualify to receive the six-per-person meal packs. The program is, in fact, a means of helping seniors put together home emergency preparedness kits.

The shelf-stable meals and preparedness kit information are available for pick-up at several locations on certain days. The numbers for each are listed below.
