The Sheridan City Council at their meeting this week proclaimed Saturday, April 23 as Sheridan Tree Day in conjunction with the State of Wyoming’s Official Arbor Day on Monday. The City will host an Arbor Day celebration in Kendrick Park Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. There will be several organizations related to the tree industry that will be on hand to educate the public on tree care through workshops and demonstrations throughout the day.

Activities will include tree plantings, a tree climbing exhibition, a tree pruning workshop and the installation of the Kendrick Arboretum interpretive entrance signs. There will also be free tube trees available to the first 80 people to the event.
