Craft Breweries around the country have become a very big industry over the past few years. This has led to an increase in the demand for hops and a lower supply. Sheridan’s Black Tooth Brewery has not yet been affected by this demand according to General Manager Jesse Woods.

Certain special types of hops like citra have been hard to find due to their popularity. Woods explains how they try and avoid that problem.

According to the Wall Street Journal, U.S. hops production went from about 70 million pounds in 2014 to a projected 91.8 million pounds this year.
