The Rosebud County Sheriff’s Office in southeast Montana confirmed that a body had been pulled from the Tongue River near Ashland, Thursday afternoon.
The Sheriff’s Office assisted the Bureau of Indian Affairs in recovering the body. The family of the deceased has been notified and an autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the name of the individual has not yet been released and the investigation is ongoing and is being handled by the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the FBI.
