Buffalo City Works: South Burritt Project Underway

The project to reconstruct and repave South Burritt Avenue from West Gatchell south to Cemetery Road has begun, according to City Works Director Les Hook, who updated the Buffalo City Council at their last meeting.

Hook said roto-milling has begun on the roadway and crews are off to a very good start. So far traffic has not been a major issue.

Addressing an earlier question from the council, Hook said an additional exit from the Greenleaf Subdivision was being planned during a re-design of the road.
Another eastern exit from the Greenleaf Subdivision will be included in any future expansion as was required by the planning and zoning commission, according to Mayor Randy Dyess.

He also reported that work on the Sports Fields Complex is scheduled to begin once the weather improves.
