Buffalo Council Accepts Two Proposals On Water Projects

Buffalo City Works Director Les Hook brought two proposals before the city council for their consideration at their last regular meeting, concerning recently completed city water projects.

Hook said the proposals were from Strata Professional Services of Gillette, and explained what services were needed and why.

Hook explained that the engineering firm hired to design the water projects usually takes care of the geo-technical work, but in these instances the work was inadvertently left out of the contract.

The cost of the services for the Main Street water line project will be just over $6,300 and the cost of the services at the water tank project site will be about $1,500. Those costs will be reimbursed to the city by Wyoming Water Development Commission, according to Hook.

One of the services may not have to be utilized.

The council voted to accept the contracts for services.
