Buffalo Council Approves Permit For Garbage Service

Bald Mountain Sanitation owner Scott Gruntmeier.

The Buffalo City Council discussed a request from an independent contractor to provide garbage service to some commercial accounts within the city limits and to renew the required permit to provide those services.

City Attorney Ben Kirven brought the request before the council on behalf of Scott Gruntmeier, owner of Bald Mountain Sanitation, and explained why the permit was necessary.

Kirven said he drafted the permit and submitted it to City Works Director Les Hook for his review, and Hook had no problems with the permit and the agreement, which contained the same provisions that were on a similar permit and agreement between the city and Gruntmeier back in 2010-11.

The council approved the permit and agreement unanimously, effective from April 1, 2016 through April 1, 2017.
