Buffalo Council Approves Tap Fee Reduction

Buffalo's City Council approved a reduction in the fee for a water tap on a private line to provide city water to an adjacent property.

Property owner Russ Green came before the council to make the request for the fee reduction, and explained that he had reached an agreement with the owner of a private water line for him to tap into, and was asking for a reduction in the tap fee because it was not a city-owned line.

Mayor Mike Johnson discussed the issue with the council and Green.

The council approved reducing the tap fee from the usual $5,000 to $2,500.
