Buffalo Fire Department History Program Tuesday

A presentation on the history of firefighting and the men who have volunteered over the decades to protect the Buffalo community will be given tonight at 6:30 at the Johnson County Library.

Current Fire Chief Gomer Gammon, along with former chiefs Skip Hancock and Jim Hicks, will speak about their time and their experiences as volunteer firefighters.

According to a release from the Johnson County Historical Society, who is sponsoring the event, the presentation will feature the three firefighters sharing memories and discussing the changes they have seen over the years in the volunteer fire department.

The presentation is free and open for the public to attend.
