Cabin Building at the Museum

Tot Spot, a monthly program for children ages 0-4, met Tuesday to learn a little bit of Sheridan County history. Part of that history included building cabins in our part of the country.

Erin Schock, Curator of Education, explained.

Using donated cardboard carpet rolls, the youngsters built their homestead cabin. Schock said little ones learn through doing.

Janel Archer brought her granddaughters, Olivia and Oakley, to Tot Spot. She said the program brings history alive for the kids.

The next Tot Spot will be held August 14 and will explore the history of firetrucks and will include a real firetruck.
