Celebrate Basque Music With Worlds Of Music Today

Worlds Of Music will be celebrating Basque music today for the public to enjoy, free of charge.

This morning from 10:30 to 12:30 at the Bomber Mountain Civic Center, the group OSPA (pronounced OH-shpuh), will be giving a music workshop featuring Basque music.
Tonight, the group will be performing at a dance at the Cowboy Carousel Center from 8 to 10:30.
Both events are free and open to the public.

The musical group consists of local musicians David Romtvedt, Margo Brown, and Caitlin Romtvedt, and two west coast musicians, Kevin Carr and Daniel Steinberg.

Romtvedt tells us more about the group and the
name.

OSPA will be selling copies of their CDs, and Romtvedt explains what music is on the CDs.

Half of the proceeds from the sale of the CDs will be going to the Bighorn Basque Club of Buffalo to help support the group's hosting of the 2017 NABO (North American Basque Organization) National Festival July 21-24, 2017 in Buffalo.
