In honor of the Holiday Season, the U.S. Census Bureau released several facts relating to the holiday season. There were $23.8 billion in retail sales in December of 2015. Electronic and mail order shopping garnered about $55.7 billion. It was reported that stores upped their inventory by about 23.7% between August and November of last year.
It was reported that about $1.1 billion in Christmas tree ornaments were imported to the U.S. from China this year while only $346 million worth of lights were brought in.
