A Change of Plea hearing has been set for Sheridan County man charged with 11 counts of Wanton Destruction of a Big Game Animal. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

At an arraignment hearing in March, Gregg Lambdin pleaded “not guilty” to all 11 charges of Wanton Destruction of a Big Game Animal, 9 of which are felonies and two are misdemeanors. Shortly following the arraignment, a trial date of August 26 through the 28 was set in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan. The trial has been vacated and a Change of Plea hearing has been set for Thursday, August 1 at 9 am.

The charges against Lambdin stem from a two-month investigation last year by law enforcement with the Game and Fish, after information was provided to them about possible illegal activity on Lambdin’s property on Big Goose Road in Sheridan County. During a search of the property in late November, 114 deer carcasses in varying stages of decomposition were documented by investigators with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department Sheridan region. On February 4, an arrest warrant was issued and Lamdin turned himself into authorities the following day.
