City Operations Superintendent Talks About Curb-to-Curb Snow Removal

After weeks of downright gorgeous weather in Sheridan, old man winter has finally shown himself as we received several inches of snow Thursday. The snow was enough to cause the city to declare their first snow alert of the season. That means that the curb-to-curb snow removal program will be activated tonight according to Operations Superintendent Mathers Heuck.

Crews will begin picking up snow at midnight and work until around 7am. Due to the forecast, Heuck said that they are not planning on removing more snow Friday night, however, they will remove more snow if they need to. Sheridan Police Lt. Tom Ringley would like to remind residents that there is a city ordinance to clean snow off of your sidewalks.

The city encourages everyone to join their snow text club by sending the word snow to 28745. Once enrolled, they will receive notifications of any future alerts. Affected routes are listed below.
