An amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding between Sheridan County and the Wyoming Department of Health was approved by the Sheridan County Commissioners at their meeting earlier this week.

The amendment reduces the maximum amount of federal funds by $9,457 that are provided for home visitation services through the Healthy Baby Home Visitation Program and other maternal and child health services. County Administrative Director Renee Obermueller explains that the federal budget is why the amendment needed to be approved.

Obermueller said that the state funds for the current fiscal year are fine, and that for the program going forward into the next year, they will have to wait until April to get a better picture of state funding available, and that they will budget accordingly.
