Commissioners Receive ‘County Snapshot’

Wyoming County Commissioners Association Executive Director Pete Obermueller provided a “County Snapshot” to the Sheridan County Commissioners at their meeting Tuesday.

Obermueller told the commission that the 27 page snapshot is a policy document, not a financial one, and that it combines all 23 county budgets and audit reports into a document that he deemed a “work in progress”.

Commission Chairman Bob Rolston talks about how the snapshot will benefit the commissioners in the future.

The snapshot ranked Sheridan County 7th in population; 14th in assessed valuation; 17th in miles of road; 10th in state sales tax revenue; 14th in mill levy revenue and 8th in direct distribution.
