Commissioners Scholarships Application Deadline April 14

Each year, the Sheridan County Commissioners issue three $1,000 scholarships to Senior High School students of any Sheridan County High School. These scholarships can be used at any of the state’s community college as well as the University of Wyoming, according to Commissioner Terry Cram.

The commissioners do not see the individual student names before they choose the recipients, they only see the students achievements. According to Commissioner Bob Rolston, each commissioner is looking for something a little different.

After the scores are tabulated, the three students with the highest ranking are awarded with the scholarships. Each year, the commissioners can also award one $1,000 scholarship to a past recipient for their next year. Follow this link to find the application information
